Smoky Mountain Engagement Photos

I met Jen YEARS AGO when I lived in Murfreeboro. (GO BLUE RAIDERS!) We met again when I shot her sister Julie’s wedding last year. I believe it was Divine blessing that I had the opportunity to photograph both of these gorgeous sisters! Jen and JR are living in Pennsylvania and came down to Knoxville for their Smoky Mountain engagement photos.

Cades Cove Loop

We had been impatiently waiting for the Cades Cove loop to open for the spring. The morning of our session, it finally opened! I spent the foggy drive to the mountains imagining dew covered fields and old, groovy cabins as backgrounds. Imagine my surprise when I find traffic cones and a crew of orange-vested authority figures at the entrance…oh no! The loop was technically open, but closed to visitors due to a run/walk event. *Insert video of my happy face deflating like a river tube stabbed by a rogue tree branch* Boo. Hiss!!!

Townsend Visitors Center Photos

Fortunately we found a lovely lady at the Townsend Visitors Center who allowed us access to the beautiful field and barn behind the center. She also pointed us in the direction of other picturesque spots nearby. Thanks nice lady! Can’t wait for Jennifer and JR’s wedding at The Magnolia Manor in June!
