Retro Comic Book Themed Wedding
Courtney + Caleb’s Colorful, Vintage Knoxville Wedding
Comic book covers. Superhero Pez dispenser wedding favors. Nerf gun toys. Colored pencils and games. These are just a few items that you could find on the reception tables. When I say this wedding was unique, colorful, and seriously fun, I mean it! This retro comic book themed wedding had it all.
Wedding Ceremony in Metropolis
Courtney & Caleb are into all things vintage, and gaming, especially retro comic books. Family and friends added special touches and talents to make the day exceptionally meaningful. The ceremony backdrop was a hand drawn cityscape metropolis, artfully chalked by Courtney’s younger sister and her other sister sang for the ceremony and reception.
Primary Colors
Primary colors were everywhere, including the mod bridesmaid dresses, one each wearing blue, red and yellow with bouquets to match. Courtney’s 3/4 sleeve, vintage inspired wedding dress was the perfect compliment to her personality, bright red lipstick, and red patent leather shoes! Her hair jewelry was the perfect accent to complete the look. And that rose gold ring…I can’t even.
First dance? First Mario Cart Battle!
Their reception was filled with popcorn, candy, cupcakes, sodas in glass bottles and the most delicious red velvet cheesecake I’ve ever seen. Instead of a first dance, Courtney & Caleb had a first game battle of Mario Cart. (Caleb–always let your wife win, man!)
After the reception, we all headed over to shoot some additional photos at Maryville College. It was such a joyous day to celebrate with an adorable couple. Congrats, C&C!
