Is there anything more fun that watching your friends bring their first baby into the world?
Kara and Justin welcomed baby Ayla Hope on 12-12-12; the exact date that I predicted her arrival at her gender reveal party this past summer! She weighed in a 9 lbs. and was 21″ long. Kara chose the name Ayla, which means “mighty oak tree” in Hebrew, based on her favorite Bible verse, Isaiah 61:3.
I visited their home for a few newborn shots (yes, I make house calls for newborn portraits!) as I love to photograph the little ones in their first 2 weeks of life while they are still sleepy and pliable. =)
