I remember smothering my face in makeup, dressing up in my mom’s pink and gray taffeta cocktail dress & heels, and taking pictures with my best friend, thinking we looked like 25 year old supermodels. We were about 11 years old. I know a few things now that I didn’t know then:
1) Taffeta is a horrid fabric.
2) 11 year olds shouldn’t wear clown makeup.
3) Supermodels are washed up by 25.
When we know better, we do better. And luckily Lauren & Olivia know better at 15. These beauties have been BFF’s since they were 3 and hold onto that bond even though Olivia now lives in SC. They wanted to do a photo shoot, have fun together, and look like models for a day. I think we accomplished that! We headed downtown in the 90 degree heat for a BFF session that I hope they will never forget. Their laughs took me right back to hanging with my best girlfriends, dressing up, having the best times knowing we had the whole world ahead of us.
