Jennifer + Billy’s Fall Wedding at Knoxville Botanical Garden

Jennifer and Billy’s fall wedding at Knoxville Botanical Garden technically came before the first day of fall, but that did not stop the couple from decorating for my favorite season. Their big day was filled with warm hues from the yellow Billy Buttons in the florals, to the gold bee hairpins Jenni wore in her hair, to the yummy golden hour light shining down for post-ceremony photos. The leaves had just begun to start changing but there was still plenty of lush green at the gardens.

MAX PATCH PROPOSAL

For their 3 year dating anniversary, Jenni + Billy went for a picnic at Max Patch. Fortunately, they had almost the whole place to themselves. Jenni leaned over to reach into the picnic basket, and Billy was on one knee when she turned around.

“I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” He asked. She was speechless and held out her hand for him to put the ring on. They cried and hugged and laughed. He sat back down next to her and asked, “So what do you think?”

“‘I don’t know what to say.’

‘Well say YES!’

‘Of course! YES!’

We laughed some more and took in the scenery just the two of us before coming back down the mountain into a whirlwind of family phone calls and wedding planning. It was a beautiful day.” – Jenni

FALL WEDDING VIBES

Although it was really warm, I was still feeling those fall wedding vibes! The bouquets from Flourish Flower Truck were lush with yellow, orange, and burgundy flowers as were the bridesmaid dresses. Billy and his guys wore leather suspenders without jackets which made the boutonnieres a challenge to put on. Fun fact: you can use duct tape to make a tab to pin them onto leather. Luckily we had a couple of engineers in the house to help us figure that one out! The ceremony was held in a corner of Martha Ashe garden.

YUMMY LIGHT

I couldn’t have asked for more yummy light! After the formal shots were done, I got to have some time with just Jenni + Billy. We danced and frolicked and moseyed and all the things that super-sweet-in-love couples do for adorable photos. The reception was held inside the Dogwood Center. It was a lovely day!

Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd!

A few words from our bride, Jenni:

“Favorite- Looking at old photos for the slideshow and Reuniting with old friends in the wedding party Least- planning around COVID- worrying about people canceling, maneuvering around everyone’s level of comfort in a crowd.”

“The Last Dance, and tearing my dress strap just before the First Touch.”

“Again, I wish COVID weren’t around for our special day. But if we can get engaged, plan a wedding and get married during a pandemic, we can handle anything that comes our way.”

“Besides you and Dani Rose making our wedding party feel at ease for a long day of photos, we loved the venue. It was a beautiful location and the employees helped make it such a wonderful day.”

“Don’t worry about details, you are still getting married anyway. It’s you and your partner at the end of the day.”
