Lesli + Justin’s Old Hollywood Glamour Wedding at Capitol Theatre, Maryville, TN ~ Valentine’s Day Wedding ~ Knoxville Wedding Photographer

If you’re going for Old Hollywood glitz and glam with some art deco flair, the Capitol Theatre in Maryville, TN is your place!

Lesli & Justin chose the perfect venue for their Valentine’s Day wedding complete with crystal chandeliers, feather centerpieces, and lots of romance.  Their navy, gray and red color scheme blended perfectly with the theatre’s rich red velvet drapery.  The ladies had a huge dressing room upstairs that overlooked the entire theatre while the guys played poker  and pool downstairs in the speakeasy man cave.

After the ceremony, the wedding party headed downstairs to the man cave where the ladies changed into fun, red flapper dresses and we got some fun shots around the poker table.

Their reception was magical for lack of a less cheesy word!  Imagine gliding with the love of your life to your special song on a beautifully lit stage, underneath a gigantic crystal chandelier while fog dreamily drifts around your feet…seriously!  And after, getting to party with your best friends and family under the best lighting & video show in town.

Lesli and Justin planned the perfect getaway with sparklers and then drove away in a vintage red Bel Air convertible courtesy of Lesli’s dad.

I can’t say enough about how awesome this venue is!  The lighting, audio, fog, cryo…it was all professionally produced and Debbie Wilbourne’s flawless coordination made the day go perfectly smooth.

A few thoughts from Lesli:

Favorite & least favorite part of planning?

“My favorite part of planning was shopping with my girls and getting to plan my dream wedding. My least favorite part of planning the wedding was the stress of not forgetting anything important.”

Most memorable moment?

“The most memorable moment of my wedding was the reveal to my husband. He was very happy and we just started dancing. It felt like we were the only two in the room.”

Anything you would change?

“I wouldn’t change anything major about my wedding day. A few minor things happened like losing the unity candle lighters, but I was too happy to care about small details like that.”

How was your budget best spent?

“Our budget was best spent on the venue and the photographer.”

Any advice for future brides?

“My advice to future brides would be not to skimp in the things that really matter to you. For me it was the location and pictures. But also remember not to sweat the small stuff. Remember the course of true love never did run smooth. Just have a good time and don’t forget the day is about you. Don’t focus so much on what you are supposed to do and what other people want. Be happy and be there for your husband. Oh! And have a blast!”
