Imagine saving your whole heart, soul, and even your first kiss for your future husband…
“Both of us knew that we were the ones each other was going to marry. One interesting thing about our relationship is that I had made the decision not to kiss anyone until I was engaged. He waited very patiently for me.”
“…The next thing I knew he spun around and was on one knee with a small box in his hand. He made me take his hands in case I passed out or something and said his sweet little speech (which I couldn’t remember a word of until he told me later what he said). I was crying so much and was just in shock because I was not expecting it yet. When he opened the ring box I didn’t even look at the ring. I just jumped at him and said yes. After a few seconds I had to ask if we could sit down because I was shaking so bad I couldn’t stand up. He put the ring on my finger and we kissed for the first time.” ~Ashley

“Cool story about the location, my family used to live in the house and run the orphanage next door. My grandmother used to go play in the house when she was little. My great-great-grandmother is the one who built the chapel that is next to the Dent House. On the porch of the Dent House is a plaque that says “Keese Hall” which is my middle name. Patrick and I thought it was cool that we got married in front of that.”

“Very good, they cater in Chattanooga and the surrounding areas, such as Knoxville and Atlanta I believe.” As Ashley drove away, all of her sisters embraced and cried. It was so sweet!
A few thoughts from Ashley:
Your favorite and least favorite part of planning? “My favorite part about planning was picking out my wedding dress, thinking of flower ideas, and picking the scripture for the ceremony. Least favorite part – Picking the date and making sure everyone was going to be where they needed to be the day of.”
Most memorable moment of your wedding day? “My dad giving me away, saying the vows, and watching the bridesmaid’s video they made for me. (Hilarious!)”
What you would change, if anything? “Wouldn’t change anything. Thought it was perfect and a perfect representation of us, very simple.”
Where was your budget was best spent? “Location, flowers, and food.”
Any advice for future brides? “Don’t stress yourself out more. Some things you can’t control. It’s going to be a stressful time anyway so don’t make it worse. And get some sleep!”
Thanks, Ashley!
