Knoxville Wedding inside the Sunsphere

Today I’m fighting something nasty which could be Covid, so it’s only fitting to share a ‘rona wedding story with you! Originally planned for December, 2020, Hannah and Josh had to change plans last minute when almost everyone in their wedding party came down with the virus. Luckily, all of their vendors were available for the following March and we kept our fingers crossed for the vaccine roll out to happen quickly. Other than a few sprinkles here and there, it was a perfect spring day for Hannah and Josh’s wedding at the Sunsphere.

Christmas Tree Farm Proposal

The couple met on Bumble and went on Hannah’s idea of a perfect first date – Mexican food and Icees! Even before meeting Josh, Hannah had always dreamed of a proposal on a Christmas tree farm. Guess who’s family just happens to own a Christmas tree farm in North Carolina?

“Little did he know that I was dying inside. Fast forward a year and I got my dream proposal on his family’s tree farm and said yes to the most important question I’ve been asked.” – Hannah

Degrees, Demo, and Doggies

Over the last 2 1/2 years, there has never been a dull moment. Hannah and Josh have completed 4 degrees between them, remodeled a home together, and even welcomed another puppy to their family.

“We have already walked by each other through so many life events and look forward to this season of life with each other.” – Hannah

The Wedding Day

Hannah and her Bride Squad got ready in an Air BNB not far from downtown Knoxville before heading to the Sunsphere to start the festivities. We dodged the rain here and there but still got to photograph most of the photos outside, including the touching first look with her dad and bridesmaids. Josh did not want to see Hannah before her walk down the aisle, so they opted for a “first touch” on the 8th floor overlooking downtown just before the ceremony. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cry a little. But, don’t I always?

Here are some highlights of Hannah and Josh’s Wedding at the Sunsphere. Enjoy and congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Biggerstaff!

Some advice from our bride:

I loved picking out the details and seeing all of my vision come to life as we got closer to our wedding date. My least least favorite was the stress and logistics of planning a covid wedding!

Finally getting to sit down and eat together at the beginning of our reception. We got a moment to breathe and take it all in for the first time as a married couple!

I can’t think of anything I would have chosen differently for our special day. Everything went perfectly and we were able to enjoy every minute.

Photos and florals! We decided early on that these were things most important to us and therefore were were we would dedicate a large portion of our budget to these things. We are SO grateful we did. Our pictures perfectly captured the bliss and the love we felt on our wedding day .

It all comes together in the end. Enjoy the fun of planning the best day of your life and try to let go of the stress. Your day is about you and your partner and no one else!

Thanks, Hannah!
