Lacey & Patrick caught each other’s eye in 2010 when they both took their grandmothers to see the Cinderella opera. Patrick says it was because Lacey almost ran him over. Lacey disagrees. Patrick fell in love with Lacey’s son, Caden, from the start, and Caden absolutely adores Patrick. After 3 years of dating, Patrick took Lacey back to where they had first met and proposed to her at the Cinderella opera, where of course, she said, “YES!”
They only had to go out their back door to find the wedding location of their dreams. When your parent’s back yard is this lush, picturesque, and overlooks the water, who needs a typical venue? Lacey’s father custom built the chandelier arbor overlooking the lake just for her which perfectly accompanied the elegance of the fabric draped reception tent filled with gold accents, lavender & roses, and a touch of sparkle.

Most memorable part of your wedding day?
“When Patrick surprised me with he and his groomsmen dancing and singing To the song, Classic by MKTO during the Garter time. Totally caught me off guard and was so fun!”
Your favorite and least favorite parts of planning your wedding?
“My favorite part was watching my dad work so hard to make our arbor for the wedding- it was gorgeous- he went above and beyond to make our wedding beautiful! My least favorite part were all of the last week details that I really should have started about a month before! Don’t procrastinate!”
Where was your budget best spent?
“The tent! We had the tent liner, twinkle lights, etc. super pretty!”
Any advice for future brides?
“Don’t procrastinate on the little last few day details such as wrapping presents, thank you letters, and packing. Mostly, take time to look around at everyone who came to your wedding, the beautiful decorations and flowers, and thank everyone for coming. Don’t rush the ceremony! Look into each others eyes, take a deep breath, and enjoy the moment! try to listen to each other’s vows and the preachers speech because if you really hear all the words, you will never forget that moment!”
