Wedding at Ijams Nature Center
If you’re into nature, consider having your wedding at Ijams Nature Center! Ijams is a 315 acre leading wildlife sanctuary and environmental learning center just 5 minutes from downtown Knoxville. Brittney and Brandon held their ceremony in a beautiful field and had a reception nearby under a giant tent. We had tons of spots for photos in this gorgeous urban greenspace.
Botched Proposal
Brandon’s proposal plan was thwarted when he asked Brittney to take a walk on the beach but she was too tired. On the last day of their vacation, he got down on one knee after dinner with her family. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! After 7 and a half years, they said, “I do.”
Small Wedding Trend
Right on trend with 2021, Brittney & Brandon chose to have a smaller wedding with about 50 guests. They were able to spend quality moments with each guest and still have time for dancing and cake cutting. My favorite details from their day besides the beautiful surrounding at Ijams was Brittney’s gorgeous dress, her sparkly Betsey Johnson sneakers, and her bouquet that was made from wooden roses — yes, wooden!!! Oh, also that fake first look as you’ll see below!
Overall, it was a beautiful day and I am grateful that B&B went on a little hike with me for some awesome photos by the river.
