Rosa & Matt’s
Holy Ghost Catholic Wedding and Sunsphere Reception
Smaller weddings were a theme in 2021 (thanks, Covid) but I really enjoyed it! Rosa & Matt had a sweet, intimate day with about 15 of their closest loved ones. The wedding ceremony was held at Holy Ghost Catholic church followed by a small dinner reception at the iconic Sunsphere at the World’s Fair Site in Knoxville.
Colleagues turned Couple
Rosa and Matt worked at the same company but it took awhile for them to come out of their shells.
“We had a crush on each other since first sight. However, we were both too shy to make first move. It was about a year before I finally spoke to him in passing. It was something silly like talking about Burger King cup sizes, but it was enough to start a conversation.” – Rosa
When they decided to look for a home to purchase, Rosa did not want to take such a leap without a commitment. Matt agreed and proposed with, “Ok, let’s get married this year.” Maybe not the most romantic of proposals, but it worked!
Catholic Ceremony – Sunsphere Reception
We had beautiful weather and the decision to keep the reception low key gave us more time for photos. I’ll never be mad about that! Rosa & Matt opted for quality time with their friends & families over dancing and the usual reception traditions. The Bourbon Brothers Band crooned while guests enjoyed a delicious dinner and churro bar. As the sun set over downtown Knoxville, we strolled around World’s Fair Park for more photos and relished the warm sunshine. What a lovely day!
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Watson!
